From Mike Naughton

Sarasota's newest tradition, the SRQ Circus Lunch Bunch, drew 33 people to its first gathering at the Lockwood Diner in Sarasota.
The crowd was 3 times larger than expected, extra chairs had to be borrowed from the merchant next door.
Attendees included folks who love the circus: authors, concessionaires, aerialists, ground acts, clowns, circus owners and managers, wild animal trainers and presenters, administrative staff, thrill acts, fans and historians.
See you Friday, October 21, 1:00 pm, Lockwood Diner, 17th Street, east of Lockwood Ridge Road in Sarasota, "The Circus Capital of the World".
No dues, no membership, no formality, just show up!

Hi Buckles,
This is how it all began, Pete Adams, Don McGarvey and myself were having lunch. Pete suggested the idea of a regular lunch get together and then Don and Pete started working on names and then it all came together. The three of us sent out some emails to our friends and "bingo, we have a winner".
Thanks,
Mike

TO MIKE NAUGHTON!

After the lunch on Friday, I received a whole slew of phone calls up here in Music City from dear friends who had attended.

They were all extremely happy that they had gone to the wonderful and great fun lunch!!

Super food and very reasonable prices!!

All of them were looking forward to the Third Friday in October.

It is clearly a WINNER!! I predict an even larger turnout at the next one. Wait til the SEASON starts!

And NO dues. Showfolks Club is already sending out requests for the 2012 dues. I believe 2012 does not start for three and a half months.
