Buckles,
Are they three sheeting or was one of the pachyderms doing the deed?
Sure looks like a 1 sheet to me
(only jesting Jimmy)
Actually it's a window card. but who's counting?
Hugo worked Targa in the 1-foot stand on RBBB at this time.
RBBB moved from the Nashville State Fair Coliseum to the Nashville Municipal Auditorium around 1963.
Around 1969, the Coliseum burned down forcing the shrine circus to move into the Auditorium right before RBBB.
To Ole Whitey,
Would they have had a photo of the one foot stand in the program that year?
I believe that among the elephant act that Hugo brought from Europe to Ringling that one of those elephants did a one foot stand. Not very effective in that it was more of a press around the other three legs. I saw it. But it was not a part of his repertoire over the years. I do not recall seeing nhis elephant perform that trick, but do recall the up and down on the ramp hind leg band front leg walk. Maybe Buckles could enlighten us.
