From Jerry Digney #1

One for the history books (later RBBB played the Superdome in a similar fashion): RBBB at the Astrodome, from the new book (publisher in Sweden, Kira Forlag) Trolle Rhodins "Cirkus Varld."

One of the problems from going from the big top to the buildings, was that some cities had very strong Shrine organizations that kept Ringling out of their cities. Ringling had been kept out of Houston for over ten years until a second building was available. Showing in the Dome for a few years and moving to the AstroHall in 1969 I think. They would later show in the Sam Houston Coliseum after some heavy legal wrangling. They then would use the Summit starting in about 1976. Did Ringling have any other cities in the late 50's-early 60's that this happened to?

I remember working a Paul Kay Shrine date at Busch Stadium in St. Louis in 76 or 77 and the rings were set up in a similar fashion.
