From Buckles

I saw this show in 1980. Cole Porter.
We were doing elephant rides in the Kansas City Zoo and the outdoor theater was within walking distance of the elephant compound.

I loved doing the outdoor venues in KC and St. Louis. Great memories of Cats, A Chorus Line, The Moiseyev Festival of Russian Dance, etc.

Buckles,
How long did you do rides at the zoo? When did they discontinue the practice at Kansas City? Very interesting.

Left the Ringling Show in 1979 with big memories, no money and not a days work.
Had to float a loan to buy a bull truck and then went on the cuff to Mack MacDonald for "Toto" and "Mac".
Can't remember how it was arranged but we did rides wherever we could, Louisville Zoo, Kansas City Zoo and Monroe, La. Zoo etc.
One day Bill Shultz showed up in Louisville and hired us for Baraboo and the following winter, Paul Binder saw Ben and "Anna May" at the Tampa Fair working the Eddie Zacchini date and the rest is history.

Could that be the Pinafore?

In olden days
A glimpse of stocking,
Was looked on as something shocking
Now goodness knows,
"Anything Goes"

Good authors too who once knew better words,
Now only use four letter words
Writing prose, Anything Goes.
