Clyde Beatty's Animal Thrills #44

In one of his books, Beatty talks about some lion brothers that he had in his act and which always acted in unison when giving him a bad time. Perhaps these two lions are those brothers or a later set of brothers.

The four brothers Beatty wrote about were part of his Hagenbeck-Wallace act and stayed with that show when he left following the 1934 season.

Yes, and they were inherited by Bert Nelson for HW's season of '35.
Bert's co-star, wildly ballyhooed by Sam Gumpertz, was the ill-fated Maria Rasputin.
