Buckles: Is this Tiny Gallagher?

Yes it is.
All the Gallaghers were good performers and nice people.

I like the fact that other than doing his thing with the cats we see Mr. Beatty as all of us who had the privelege to be around him at various times in suit, tie and well dressed street clothes, so to speak. In my early days as a youth all the animal trainers dressed like that when not performing or even practicing. Nowadays we see these goofs in safari dress putting on the act. I well recall Jack Joyce, Beatty, Jacobs, my father and Charly's Moroski and Baumann plus so many others. Same with flyers, codona, concello, Voise, Day, Larey. All looked like businessmen. No bums. Well that was another time. They did not drive trucks or shovel shit for sure. I started thataway but the course of human events made me have to go with the flow to survive. Only my early years and my time with RBBB allowed me that persona and I did like it. My friend Billy Baker never weakened and for him I have the greatest admiration. So be it. Johnny

Mary H. Cuttin was better known for years as Tiny Gallagher. Then, like Hal Silvers made over by John North as Hubert Castle, Tiny's Ringling show name became Galla Shawn. Her head-balancing trapeze so excelled she starred on top shows in this country and Europe. In 1975, she received the Circus Oscar in Spain, and in Paris, she was honored with The Lady of the Trapeze award. She suffered a neck injury that brought on retirement in 1979, after a final engagement with Bouglione. She died on June 15, 1992, in Sarasota. She was only 58.
