From Tim Tegge #1

Hi Buckles!

Just a few lines at the end of a busy week in and around Baraboo. Monday evening (August 1st) found the Elks Club (the old Al Ringling mansion) filled with circus performers and fans, alike, all gathered to celebrate the combined birthdays of pretty CATHALINA LEIBEL (16) and her brother TOMI (14). Their parents, Tomi and Francesca, were gracious hosts, indeed, and a terrific time was enjoyed by all, from cocktails and a marvelous dinner, to dancing (accompanied by live musicians) afterward.

I had the great pleasure of spending yesterday afternoon--August 6--in nearby Spring Green, WI on the CULPEPPER & MERRIWEATHER lot. Gorgeous weather, a lovely lot (the high school grounds), and a quality performance made for a postcard day at the circus! Thought I'd forward a quick digital snap of the front end. The new big top is beautiful, as you can see in the photo.

Finally, I've had a few folks contact me regarding the story that ran in last weekend's Kansas City Star Sunday Magazine about the circus exhibit, wanting to know if I had any extra copies available. I really haven't any to spare at this time, so thought I would scan and forward the spread to you. Perhaps, on a slow news day, you may want to post some/all of it?
The KC show runs through August 28 and seems to be well received.

Take care,

Tim Tegge
