| HERBIE WEBER'S NOTORIOUS "WHERE WERE YOU?" ADS Herbie's sense of humor came into play when he tired of noticing loud, largely unsubstantiated claims of circusgreatness and longevity. Here are two of his pointedjibes. Only a very few could honestly compare with his stellar career. He booked every week he wanted to book.

What a guy and you could be sure that Herbie would be in some concession as well as doing his acts. I saw him on the first years of the Beatty-Cole truck show where he was head usher [getting a piece of the action of the sheriffs dsale from the blues, etc.] and having the floss as well. He had to do alot of chinese as well to keep those extras, but some way he handled it and this is the days it was a " high rolling opera" with big phone promo crowds, one day stands and long jumps. Was an indurance contest just to keep up with it but Herbie was "right on". He did good around Sid Kellner operas. Great guy. Only one Latino named Herbie Weber. Los Latinos. how about that? Respectfully, John Herriott
