I'd say it was the Ringling Show. Look at that crowd in the background watching the unloading. These might be two work teams on their way to the crossing to be harnessed up. The gentlemen would be the hook-up man and the teamster.
This is definitely Ringling photo. I believe it was taken in 1950. If you blow the photo up you can see two of the Ringling bulldog macks to the right of the elephant. Also the Ringling-Barnum on the truck nearest the elephant (mack truck 236) has the name painted as it was in 1950. Dom
