Recently, discussion arose about the animals in this act. I had long heard Hoover bought Andre's Serengeti Lions, but a rumor circulated they were too small for Africans and were pumas. This photo settles that.
would someone give us a brief history on Dale Hoover. I remember him from the years he was on CBCB. Did he always work lions? How many? His background, How was he rated as a trainer/presenter? Thanks
The cats were female lions that he bought from Andre, He had 2- year old males (not neutered) that traveled with that he had hoped to introduce into the act. The tiger was young and was left at WQ's for the season.

They are neutered females, but he did also had two males and a tiger.

He had a mixed act of (more) lions
than tigers when he came to the
Beatty Show in 66 which I recall
was that exciting association of
Art Concello as a working partner
& the addition of the Bale Family
& Manfred Fritsch (Doval) along
with a number of major changes
