GSOE Elephant Act #12

This medium shot confirms without a possible probable shadow of doubt that Gloria Grahame is the one up there on the elephant.

The next time you view the movie look for Miss Grahame take a style on the ring curb, she gets bumped off by a slight brush with an elephant.
You have to give her an A+ for working in the act and not pulling a Hollywood Star attitude.
Later in their careers, Miss Grahame and Mr. Stewart were seen together in Frank Capra's "It's A Wonderful Life".
Gloria Graham's character Angel to the Great Sebastian, "Can't you see an elephant or do I have to paint her red?"

After Angel gets bumped off the curb, there was inserted a crowd laugh scene to indicate that this came off as comedy. Personally I have always thought the scene should have been shot over,
but C B almost never paid attention to what I thought.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE came first for Buttons and Angel. They toiled for Capra in 1946.

Opps, thanks Roger.
I promised myself not to post early in the morning, it was 6:30, since my error rate is higher than later in the day. Maybe I should wait until I've have coffee.
I should have known better sine Wonderful Life is black and white and the GSOE is brilliant color.

Ole Whitey - yes, that bump shot should have been done over.

Even with the occasional minor error, thank you for the effort, Michael. And thanks to Roger for catching it so soon. Great post, but would like to hear more from Buckles on who's who and what's what in the elephant scenes. ~frank
