It's a shame I didn't have a tape recorder when I was listening to Al
Vidbel and Albert Rix talking about the goings on during the filming of this movie. Verrry interesting. the one thing I do remember is that Dorothy Lamour could have a really foul mouth and at one point cursed out one of the "Als" over something that happened when she got into a carriage. I believe she got some right back, wih no repercussions.

Lamour was what we used to affectionately call "a broad" A woman who gave no guff, nor took any. She spoke her mind in a language men could understand. She was the kind of gal you could call a pal and yet, still a lady. ~frank

Many accounts from friends who were there said "Dotty" Lamour was the backyard favorite among the showfolks.
Betty Hutton maintained the Hollywood airs. Albert White, in his inimitable manner, noted, "She was a prithy, prithy, little mithy."
That is,of course, Cecil B. with
Academy Award winning actress Gloria Grahame.
I liked her because I thought that she was HOT!
Arky once showed me a nice pocket watch witn an inscription on the back that read something like:
"Thanks for for everything,
Love, Gloria Graham"
