This litho was originally produced in the early '30s by Erie Litho and Ptg for Charles Sparks' Downie Bros Circus with the name "Teddy" instead of "Daisy" centered at the bottom. "Teddy" of course was with Downie during that period(1926-36). Although Teddy moved on to Kay Bros in 1937 and ultimately World of Mirth (where he was shot in 1941)...the poster artwork survived for use by Russell Bros where "Teddy" is billed even though he was never with that show. The poster can be found in collections today in both a one-sheet and half-sheet size. Incidentally - there is another "Teddy" poster produced by Erie (a half-sheet panel) and used by Downie Bros during the '30s. That artwork was also used by Cole Bros, even though Teddy was never with that show either.
