Isn't this the same elephant that did this in the Hudson River when the Beatty show was playing the Palisades date for George Hamid?

In the newspaper releases they called the elephant "Beatty Hamid."

Also didn't Lalea Ray sometimes work in this act?

No, this is not the same elephant. To the best of my recollection, the time frame of the Hudson River sking elephant was 1952. According to Marj Rusing, she is the lady that skied with that elephant. There used to be a video clip on the internet that showed the elephant being unloaded from a Beatty truck. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate that website today.
I response to your second question, "Yes". Lalea trained both Queenie and myself to perform. I worked Queenie from 1956 thru 1960 and then did some fair dates summers thru 1962. In the meantime, Lalea worked Queenie until approximately 1964. Lalea was a great teacher/trainer!!
