Scan13251, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. Written on the back: "Pawah" the white elephant on tour with Ringlings in 1927 and shown with his capturer Dr. Saw D. Po Min. He was then the only living white elephant known. He was captured in 1919 when he was less than four feet high and about a year and a half old. Regarded in India and Burma as being most sacred and most rare.
