Blue Show Press Photo (From Buckles)

Scan13188, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

This picture was on hand fourteen years ago and could have been
sent. Presented to Barbara by one of Ringling's most prodigious promoters
Arthur Ricker.
Actually she never really cared for this shot, she said it looked like she had
a black eye and "Odin" seemed bored.
Later this gloomy, artful background would have fit right in with Big Apple.

Barbara, even in side-lighting, appears just as she is, a beautiful woman.

Not wanting to criticize, and realizing the photographer is also shooting a wild animal, I would like to say that the angle of "Odin's" head makes it very hard to see the fine features of a feline face and his leg/body position appears awkward and for him, I would think, rather uncomfortable.

I think I hit the wrong key just now so rather than trying to regroup my comments let me just say that I much prefer the color photo of Barbara and Odin taken by the Swan Bandwagon.
