The Pettus Family #5

On the back someone wrote:
"Bert Pettus and his daughter on Clyde Bros. Circus 1951.
Bull Suzie Q."

This is in error since "Suzie" was with Ring Bros. Circus
throughout most of the 1950's. So the writer either had the
wrong elephant or the wrong show.

Suzie Q was a fine well trained elephant owned by R. J. Richards [Francos uncle] She was on Francos shows, Ring Bros. Trapeze Bros. etc. Ended up with one eye. Hoxie bought her and Bonnie and she died on Hoxie. Good solid elephant. I used her in a big three act with Hazel and Bonnie. johnny

I believe thats on Rogers Bros. with Mary.
