Buckles,
You recently had a picture of the Ringling outdoor rigging from 1957 at a California date. I thought maybe some people would like to see a picture of a slightly different set up in a ball park from the same year. The attached 3 pictures were taken in June of 1957 in a ball park in Richmond, VA. I think it may have been the first time all of the outdoor rigging was set up. The center ring was placed where home plate would have been, and rings 1 and 3 and all of the over head rigging was set up behind first base and ran diagonally to third base. The vertical pole, which in the first two pictures was close to my camera (and almost completely obscures Otto Greibling) was part of Harold Alzanas' high wire rig, which was set up in front of the center ring. Also, as you can see in the night time picture of the Alexanders flying act, the only lighting was the ball park lighting, although they did have some light boxes on the ground near the rings.

Interesting ring curb paint detail
that incorporates the existing
diamond light window cutouts
Thanks for contributing the photos and additional observations!
