This girl looks like she's doing true heels. Somebody give us her name, so we can give her all due credit.
Because a few seasons back, and I won't name any names, I dated a single trap gal who was announced as "about to perform the rare and dangerous Flying Twisting Heel Catch". Well, when she went for it from a sitting position, she first went to her bumps--everyone knows what those are--then, in the next three swings, she laboriously wiggled her way down at last into a heel hang, and styled like mad.
Yes my name is Nikki Ogle and I am from Australia. I don't have any hooks/bumps just bare heels and sometimes a little bit of laces from my boots gets stuck under my heels because it is hard to be precise when doing a forward summersault to catch by heels.
Yes I work with a mechanic. My ropes are around 11ft long, which, is considered short. I trained this act in Queensland with a south african ex flyer Rodleigh Stevens.
One of the most unique things about your blog and one of the things that I have enjoyed over the past few weeks is that the people that we have commented on actually have the ability and desire to respond to the comments. I have especially enjoyed the comments from Casey and Nikki. ~frank

So hoorah for this promising star seen here.
C'mon guys - let's hear it for Australia!
She is listed on the show program as Nikki Ogle. She is from Austrailia. Her act is very well done.
I enlarged the photo and I do not see any HOOKS. Is that correct?
Roger,
Due respect, that was way more then a "few seasons back." Can I name name's if you don't want to? LOL

Very nice Nikki good form and a
pretty smile to go with it
From the angle of your swing it
appears that you work with fairly
long trapeze ropes
Where in Oz do you hail from
Nice photo, PG!

Is that black line I see crossing
the wrapped bar possibly a hip
mounted mechanic (or what)

Thanks Nikki
BIG state Queensland and I've had
the opportunity to see quite a bit
of it by train car & boat out to
Heron Island which is the very
favorite liesure destination for
me & my wife (3 times so far)
Loved a private tour of the old
shuttered Winter Garden theater
in Rockhampton (and so much more)
