The Clarke Family #9

Scan13041, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Charles and Percy Clarke with Sparks Circus 1946.

"I remember them well from Robbins Bros.Circus in 1949.
They did a novelty knock-about act.
There was a younger lady with them that also worked in
the show. A niece?"

Ringling evidently day and dated or was some where close and we all went over and caught the Sparks Show. The Clark Brothers were doing some type of small rigging flying act, just the two of them I think, and as I remember it, one of them had a heart attack and died on the day we were there. Does anyone else remember this incedent. Over 60 years is a long way back. Jackie

I believe that was the first time I met Ernie Burch. He was on that Sparks show. Boy would he be able to tell stories for this blog with all his past shows ann experiences, and great memory to. Well, guess we'll have to wait for those. Jackie

JACKIE LeCLAIRE: If you return to this one, Kim says her grandfather Ernest died in 1941, when Ernestine was barely 19 or 20. She recalls that Charles would be the one you remember dying on your visit to Sparks.
