Buckles: Just wondering if you have ever seen this ??. I was doing some hunting for the old Chicago Super Circus TV show and ran accross this.. They are introduced as the Miller & Woodcock Elephants... Dave... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqrDVmjG7uY&feature=related We did this show two or three times in the mid 1950's. The Studio was right in down town in Chicago. I remember trying to spot the truck more than doing the show. My dad had simply used a bucket of water for the barber shop but the TV people came up with a can of lather at the last minute so it could be seen better. Must have tasted pretty good. Thanks, Buckles |

Dave,
Thanks for finding that great clip for us to see.
Buckles,
What a thrill to see the Miller-Woodcock elephants in action plus the 3 woodcocks also in action.
I bet this old clip brings back many stories.
This was a first for me to actually see the act performed.
This is what you call a kineascope as the act was live but was recorded with a sound 16mm camera in front of a television. This was the only way they had back then to record live tv shows. As video tape had not come out yet.
If they had filmed the show then played it on tv it would have been alot sharper and clearer.
That was the way they did I love lucy show.
Great days of live tv.

Truly amazing!! To see this from so many years ago and to have seen Anna May do the Barber Shop in the 70's...is so wonderful. You have surely had a blessed and incredible life Buckles!! This one is a classic for sure!!
Finally someone commented on the highly competent young fellow assisting with the props.
As near as I can tell, Mary Hartline is still with us, retired up in Illinois. Interestingly, her 4th husband was Woolworth Donahue, the Five & Dime heir. Perhaps some enterprising fan can locate her, say hello, and remind her she is not forgotten.
Buckles, it's good to see this act and especially to know it is safely kept.
This was a GREAT clip! Buckles, you performed your tasks with near military precision! ~frank
