At least in the 60s Reithoffer

used the slogan "Aristocrat Of

Show Business" but don't really

know for how long that was used

on their bright orange fleet

One we day and dated a carnival when we were on the Cole Show.
They were set up at the front of the lot and we showed at a level area above them
Between shows I was looking down at them when my dad came up behind me and announced:
"Behold that strange tribe of people that talk out of the side of their mouths and eat that boneless meat called hamburger!"
I pondered this for some time and ofter repeated the story as tho the answer could be found atop a Tibetian mountain.
Many years later Jimmy Cole and I were driving someplace when we approached a sign, "Welcome to Gibsonton".
Right on cue he said, "Home of that strange tribe of people.....!

Buckles, Ted Svertesky is the first person I ever heard use that quote.
He told me he got it from you.

I heard that tale on a trip with Bobby Gibbs in 1969. He did credit it to Col. Woodcock as told by Johnny Herriott. Bobby's version, after "the boneless meat called hamburger" added "the Keazarnies." Keazarnies isn't on my spell check.
