Chic,
Great job! And, swinging a beautiful pair of ladies like Ms. Williams and Ms. Chenoweth -- wow, nice work if you can get it!
Jack
Very cool!
Might I add that I am quit the fan of Kristin Chenoweth! I am going to see the traveling Wicked next weekend in Houston and only wish that she and Idina Menzel were in it! Great pictures and thank you for sharing Sir.
Our First National Company of
"Wicked" will play Houston in the
Hobby Center from 30 June through
25 July with Chandra Lee Schwartz
as Glinda and Donna Vivino as
Elphaba both doing terrific
performances (you'll see)
You could see Kristen currently
at The Broadway Theater in the
revival of "Promises Promises"
Forget the Gals..
NICE Bowline!!....
Crystal, you will love these ladies in "Wicked"! My wife and I saw the show in Dallas about 3 weeks ago and it was Great! I really got a kick out of Chandra Lee Schwartz's performance as GAALinda! Donna Vivino was Great also! The role of Madame Morrible was played in Dallas by Jayne Houdyshell and it was also a Great performance...hell the whole show was Great!
Actualy Jim there were bowlines
in the black braid lines but the
more visible knots in the blue
bridles are bight overhands
Chic
Nice...
Folks always asked Smokey to sign a Elephant Book...I had him sign my copy of Ashley's book of Knots..

The 2 absolutely essential knots
are the bowline & the clove hitch
As the saying goes "Tie A Knot
Or Tie A Lot" Bro
The "bolin" knot (BowLine) and half hitch were the only knots I ever mastered since they were essential.
Both Shannon and Dalilah can tie most anything having attended numerous Smokey Jones knot tying seminars.
They even remember the bolin knot instructions about the bunny rabbit jumping in and out of the hole.
Followed by, "Do you want to see a spinning bolin?" and after being coaxed, he would raise the rope off the ground and slowly spin the knot.
"How about a dragon bolin?"
Of course he would lay it flat on the ground and drag it a short distance.
My early knotsmanship was during
my preteen years in the Boy Scouts
in order to earn one of the merit
badges so I could move up a grade
That training has served me well
during my apprenticeship to the
stagehands as well as in the US
Coast Guard and most certainly
in circus rigging over the years
I am also fairly accomplished
at splicing various lines but
I could never hold a candle to
John Schweitzer who could splice
cable bare handed
