D.R. told me that on this occasion he booked the elephants on the Davenport fall dates and he split up his 5-act to fill the two end rings. In Wichita they only had one ring so rather than return to the original routine he decided to somehow work both acts without co-mingling them. This is what it looked like, "Dixie" and "Myrtle" in the background, "Elsie", "Tena" and "Margaret in front, presented by D.R. and Isla.
