This was the first time that I saw the show without an adult. My little brother and I made miniature circus wagons that we wanted to sell at the L.A. Sports Arena show. (Sells-Floto wasn't around yet!) A promoter spotted these two urchins, admired our wares and gave us two passes to the circus! Thank God for American Entrepreneuership! We sat five rows back, center ring. They wouldn't let us sell the wagons though. ~frank
When Hugo came back to the show in 1957 the center ring act he put together was "Siam", "Luna", "Betty", "Diamond", "Jewel" and "Jenny". Thats Jemmy on the tub out front. This act remained in tact thru 1962 when "Luna" died from a respiatory illness and "Diamond" was retired to the Knoxville Zoo. That's when this picture was probably taken.

Buckles What elephants are these? Is the african Diamond
The one in front of Diamond looks like Targa
Targa would have been smaller in 64 i think. Have photos of her working with zebra around this time.
