I believe this is George Hanneford
Jr who was following the tradition
of his uncle Poodles
(and is still with us)
He & Vicky also did a perch pole
routine in Roman garb
Yes, and they made their entrance in a chariot. Very impressive.
The Georgian's
Vicki,(George wife) Kay Francis ( George sister) and George Jr. First worked on Clyde Beatty RR Show from time-to-time as a fill-in. As the Two Victorias. Vander Barbette, designed wardrobe and framed the act around the gladiator theme. Concello caught the new three person act in 1958 on Polack for RBBB..Various girls that worked in the act were Brenda Jones (killed in a separate circus accident) and DIANE Small (Moyer)

with Tommy when the family split
into 2 separate riding acts (along
with both parents) and was Brenda
married to Buzzy Cuttin when she
had that fall (maybe in the Cow
Palace under Elvin's Astrocycle)

CHIC: This is a few days later, but yes, Kay Frances was married to bandleader Jim Ille.
KAY HANNEFORD: I had a nice visit with Nellie Hanneford-Poema ( Kay Hanneford's daughter) two weeks ago on Kelly-Miller..Nellie brought me up to date on her part of the family tree. John McConnell's book has six pages of Hanneford Family tree's...No doubt Nellie is going to carry on the Hanneford tradition..Oldest daughter Katherine has and interest in the Hanneford Circus history. Its worth a trip to Kelly-Miller just to watch them perform.
Chic, I think you are correct on Brenda and Buzzy..During the days ahead of Jim Hetzer's show out of Huntington, WV I got to Buzzy and wife Tiny (Galla Shaw).....Great people....
