I would not have known this was Billie Burke. This shows the versatility of the real pros. On Gil Gray, in later years, Burke had a classic Auguste makeup, and billed hilself as the "Best Dressed Clown." In the '50s, we've seen Lou Jacobs convert his familiar Auguste to whiteface, and Paul Jerome switching between hobo and whiteface for designated photo ops. Pat Valdo sometimes had selected clowns alter their makeups for the camera so the show would appear to have more clowns.
