I still have this program, from the September 29th stand, Waco, Texas. Here is one of my favorite early images of a tiger. For the whole show, I looked for the girl to lead him in.

Folks, now pay attention to the little lady on my right. You see she has 3 tassels. During the show in our tent, she is going to make the 2 on top revolve in opposite directions and you won't believe what she does with the one down below.
I notice that we have a few ladies in the crowd and would like you to come in and our girls will show you how to keep the old man home on Saturday night.
The next show starts in 2 minutes, so hury and buy your tickets so you can come in and see it all.

The lady depicted on the cover is the lovely Eva Gabor of the famous Gabor sisters.
According to the article in the 1952 program, John Ringling North asked the artist Charles Baskerville to paint a lady and a tiger for the cover. Mr. Baskerville asked Eva Gabor to pose for the portrait as she was a circus lover. She requested payment of only a ride on an elephant around the arena.
