The one named Louie, a female, wound up in the Atlanta zoo in 1956when the King Bros eastern unit abandoned her in Winder, GA east of Atlanta. At the zoo she was known as Lula Belle. She died there in 1968 at well over 50 years of age.

(Killed Ted White while unloading at Douglas, Ariz. 10/28/43 and was executed the next day.)

This picture reminds me of the Thanksgiving at Circus World when your herd of Elephants and Axle's herd met up in front of the park for this pose.

I was one of the operations leads at CDT (and the elephant ride) in 77-78. Got to be friendly with Moodoo and George from your group.

Is Anna Mae still with you?

I hadn't heard much about a definitive date. There was a blurb in the Sentinel that if there was any interest.... type of thing. Rats!
