Hi Buckles,
Here's a photo from the Chappie Fox children's book..."Come to the Circus" - The Reilly & Lee Publishing Co. 1960. It is RBBB in 1950 on the Milwaukee lakefront.
Mr. Wolf probably used this as his inspiration with some minor changes.
