The Sponsor would provide vehicles to tow the cages in
the parade and might even add something of their own
such as the local Beauty Queen or perhaps the East Cupcake
Junior High School Marching Band playing "On Wisconsin!"

Buckles,
I think that it was the West Cupcake band and they were playing the FSU fight song.

Easy there Brigadier I just

happened to be the drum major

of the "East Meadow" (aka cupcake)

High School marching band and

we had the opportunity of doing

the halftime event for the

Thanksgiving day Giants / Browns

football game many years ago

(As in many many years ago)

At Yankee stadium (in the snow)

A couple of times in high school, we played the half time show with rubbing alcohol in the valves, plastic mouthpieces and snow flakes falling. That was at the end of October.
The Lumberjack Band (Packers) played every home game no matter what the weather.
What great memories we all have.

I remember the sterling silver

whistle frozen to my lips and

my fingers frozen to the shaft

of the signal baton along with

the headband of my tall shako

cutting off circulation

But ah yes great memories
