With the current interest in Howe's, I dutifully recommend Joe Bradbury's superlative coverage in his article "Howe's Great London Circus--Season of 1921", in the September-October 1964 issue of BANDWAGON. Clyde Beatty and Emmett Kelly first met over there and remained friends for life.

This great show is also well-indexed in the fan magazines for further research.
