There are seven Asian elephants in the Have Trunk Will Travel herd, five adult females, and two males. Our adult male is currently on breeding loan to the Oregon Zoo through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plan. Our privately funded breeding program has produced four babies. The youngest, three year old JP, is here thanks to artificial insemination. All of our elephants participate in research projects vital to the health and welfare of elephants worldwide. |
