What no comments on Gunther? He was a class act.Worked himself into an early grave. The best things in life only come in numbers of one.
Does anybody have any pictures of the day Gunther arrived by ship to this country?THose wouldve been priceless.HIm unloading and or supervising the elephants that day?
I recall meeting him in Orlando on his farewell tour.I knocked on the train car and he came out.I commended him and after some small talk he said "I work real hard!!"
Gunther gave his all .He was in my book the Elvis of the circus world.Enough charisma to light up every arena that he graced.
I have seen and met so many gifted artist that run the gamut.Henry Mancini,Eddy Arnold,Julio Iglesias, etc. They all had that special something that set them apart .Its a god given talent is the only way to put into words.Gunther had that special gift.
God rest your soul GGW.You are missed!!
