From Buckles #1

Barbara and I are looking forward to seeing "Wicked" this evening.
Chic was telling me that he is often summoned to set up his special effects for the various units of this show, often abroad.
Erik Jaeger has a similar deal with Soleil where he will fly to Madrid, for example, take the tent down, load it into containers then return home.
A week or so later he will be notified that the containers are on on the lot in Rio and then fly there and reverse the procedure.
I thought of him right away when I read recently about the Soleil tents going to Haiti.

I hope you enjoy this show as much as I did when I first saw it. Spetacular production value, grand music, and engaging, if complex, story. It is returning to the Fox here in St. Louis later this spring and I'll be going again.

Buckles,
I certainly had a good time working in Europe, but going through security with three weeks worth of gear got old. I am now spending more time at home and enjoy working with Circus Flora. I can honestly say I do not miss dealing with Cirque at the Montreal level, and no elephant guys there to jackpot with! Mike Fauls was managing one of the units I took care of, and we would cut up Ringling jackpots, at least.

A footnote you will appreciate, Linda Hudes asked me if the bandstand on Kaleidoscape was earthquake proof. I assured her it most definitely was!
