Circus Hollywood #1 (From Jim Cole)

Clown named Alex, very good, worked without a whistle.

Made a trip with Tony Steele Thursday and caught two circuses, both very good. First we saw Serge Corona's Circus Hollywood at the Sate Fair, and had a nice visit with the Tino Cristiani family. Then on to Sarasota for the dress rehersal of "Circus Sarasota". The Nik Wallenda troupe closed the show with their famous 7 person pyramid. This trick has been performed recently by many other acts, but they did it with a girl stranding on a chair, as was originally done, working at least 30 feet high (to the wire), and on a wire that stretched at least 40 feet from pedestal to pedestal.

It was very difficult to get good photos under either tent. Circus Hollywood had a fog machine that washed out the color in most of the photos, and Circus Sarasota would not allow flash. Many of the acts in Circus Sarasota wore black wardrobe, which makes getting good photos ever more difficult.

Jim, did Serge mention anything about coming to the CW Reunion next weekend? I visited him back in Oct in Shreveport and he said he very much wanted to come?
