The steel arena that he is working in looks like it may have been from the Alfred Court acts.

This was the first year that Zerbini did the act as Tarzan.

They may have been a bear to put up and take down, but it's such a classy looking cage. It would be very difficult to fly it to the top of the arena. ~frank

I seem to recall that this arena

was made up of narrow two folds

(bible like) and might have been

made of aluminum as it seemed

to go together rather quickly

His next arena was of much wider

single sections with woven cable

in steel frames that handled

easily but presented a much

larger footprint on the cart

When the Zerbinis were contacted

by attorneys for the estate of

Edgar Rice Burroughs regarding

the use of the title "Tarzan"

Jean Charles had his name legaly

changed so that he could use it

without paying the freight

He followed the pattern of one

of the Buglione brothers that

changed his name to "Buffalo

Bill Cody" for similar purpose

(how's that for nickel knowledge)

As a strange coincidence I am

the designer of special effects

for Disney's Broadway musical

"Tarzan" that has more succesful

productions currently running

in Holland & Germany than the

2 year run it had in New York

PS they had to pay the freight

Right, the cage is one of Court's, always identifiable by the arcs at the top, and the cross braces at bottom.
