Did you mean to say "looking east" in both these pix? They look like opposite views.

What's the name of the small elephant next to Ruth?
I can't remember, probably one of the seven punks imported in 1952.
Hugo took the cream of the crop over to the baby elephant barn for training and the rest were in limbo waiting to find a home.
Every day we would collar them to bigger elephants and exercise them around the grounds.
"Little Ruth" and "Wallace(?) Trilby" were retired to the New Orleans Audubon zoo in Dec. 1966 and stayed until Nov. 1971. I don't have any record of where they were sent.
