Nice looking elephant, I don't have records of either of them past 1956.
Maybe Roger Smith could shed some light.

I wish I could. My days at the Compound were absorbed by the needs of 72 cats, two acts I inherited, public address and show announcing, and praying the place would stay open.

I did not record an account of the elephant history in the Oaks, and in turn ask you if you can list the seven we had in the barn from '65 to the closing in '69. Arky Scott was Boss, ably assisted by George A. Young.

I remember Betty was the bad girl, who badly hurt and tried to kill Tony Gentry in the bull truck that day. The show was on and I was working the lions when suddenly they all broke seats and dove at the front screen. Mabel came flying out of the Snack Bar yelling, "Roger! Get them sons-a-bitches outta there! The elephants, the elephants!" I shot a glance at the truck, which was pitching so violently I thought it was going to turn over. I unloaded the arena, with Mabel demanding, "Snap it up! Run 'em out!" With my guys in the tunnel, I turned to see the ambulance boys taking Tony away. He survived, but had a very rugged time of recovery.
