RBBB Winter Quarters-22, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. "This is Mac MacDonald about 1938, he told me that he enjoyed this so much, that he did all the elephants feet alone. Knowing Mac's work ethic I'm sure that's true. This would have entailed around 36 elephants. I have seen a film of the Ringling Show in rehearsal in Sarasota showing this same shot with a better look at Mac's face as well as Captain Larry Davis and the two Africans in harness. One exciting clip shows two big elephants "taking it on the duffy" and heading back to the barn from the rehearsal area. Buckles
