Merry Christmas!

*Twas the month before Christmas*

*When all through our land,*

*Not a Christian was praying*

*Nor taking a stand.*

*See the PC Police had taken away,*

*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*

*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*

*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*

*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*

* December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.*

*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*

*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*

*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*

*Something was changing, something quite odd! *

*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*

*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.*

*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*

* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*

*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*

*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*

*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*

*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*

*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*

*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*

*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*

*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*

*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*

* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*

*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*

*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*

*So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'*

*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*

*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*

*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,

not Happy Holiday !*

Please, all Christians join together and

wish everyone you meet

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christ is ?The Reason' for the Christ-mas Season!

I do not believe a persons political identity would cause them to be anti-Christ and certainly we are a nation of wonderful religious freedom and thank God we have separatio of Church and state. Its interesting that the Hollywood motion picture studios totally controlled all these years by anti-Christ Jewish etrapeneurs have made millions with Christian themed movies. Nothing like the almighty dollar. It is entirely up to the individual company or business person on whether he says Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays. At last report the Gov. was not forcing them into any decisios on their part. Good old Capitalistic-Democratic USA. I would not have it any other way. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Tanglefoot Herriott'

Buckles,

Maybe things are different up here in the Panhandle, near the buckle of the "bible belt."

I've been in quite a few stores (a few too many) in the past weeks and don't recall a single salesclerk who didn't wish me a "Merry Christmas."

Merry Christmas to you and yours Captain! Also to all the wonderful Circus people who visit your blog daily! It is so much a part of my life, it reminds me of the days on the picket line, as you would regale us in the stories of your past.

This year especially, I wanted to scan and e-mail my Christmas cards from the Clyde Beatty family, and Mabel Stark. Sure enough, this contraption sitting here wouldn't function. I came back with my six-foot Hope, Arkansas hickory stick and gave it a tune-up for Christmas. So next year, with an educated scanner, I'll have better luck, or else.

Being American-correct, I wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all, and God bless us everyone.

It's my hope that the motivation is understood. That we who celebrate Christmas wish to share it's meaning. A meaning of hope, and love.

...and in that spirit: A very Merry Christmas to all. Wishing you and all your readers, the best!

At Walt Disney World we are reminded to use"happy holidays" as we do have guests from around the world and not everyone celebrates Christmas. Before the boos begin, at Epcot around the World Showcase WDW has displays and small shows that present holiday customs from around the world. At the America Gardens Theatre they present three shows nightly of the Candlelight Processional; holiday music with a 450 member choir, 50 piece orchestra, and a celebrity narrator that tells the story of the Birth of Jesus. I refer to it as "Disney does Church", and they do it very well. (They do play the "Dradle Song" in the opening medley.)

I don't think one can be terminated for saying Merry Christmas to a guest at WDW. I'm not offended by guests or fellow cast members that wish me Merry Christmas, Happy Chanakkah, or Joyous Kwanzaa. I'll appreciate their heart-felt holiday greetings and wish them Happy Holidays in return. Our great country is made better when we appreciate and respect the diversity of religons and traditions. You follow yours, I'll follow mine, and we can all sit together and enjoy the circus.
