Re: Photo, lower L. There was a series taken this day, in Al.G. Barnes Winterquarters, in 1920. This portrait of Mabel was cropped and used both for publicity and for her "calling" (in those days)or business cards. While this shot features her signature blond hair, others in the series have her with headdress, and of course in a range of poses with the tigers. Having looked these over, I was able to count as many as 15 tigers, depending on the angle. Certainly, this was among the highlights acts of her career.
