The Atomics were a dance school acrobatic act from Gary, IN that made the big time. There were six young people in the act and the finish was a jump-rope routine.

During my brief stay at Indiana U. my dorm floor advisor was Dave Nawrocki, who with his sister and four others were the Atomics. (Small world) I found tales of life on the Polack show more interesting than class work which would explain my brief stay at I.U. They did appear on the original Mickey Mouse Club so there might be a film or tape of the act out there. I don't think anyone in the act stayed in show business.
