I remember seeing him get out of that thing at the circus in Detroit and being amazed that someone that size could fit in there. Did anyone ever get to watch him get into that car for every performance or ask him how he managed to do it. Bob Momyer said...: I watched Lou get in and out of that car many times. He was 6'1" tall and managing those shoes in there was a trick in and of itself. I don't ever recall seeing him wear the high dome in the car, it was the low dome. He would typically step up on the ring curb upon exiting to increase th impression of height. There was no one like him, the master of his craft
