Although most people today think that “Little Nemo” is a fish, he was the central character in what was perhaps the greatest comic strip ever published: LITTLE NEMO IN SLUMBERLAND. Running from 1905 to 1914, Little Nemo was drawn in a detailed, art-nouveau style by Winsor McCay, considered by many to be the most versatile and virtuosic cartoonist in comic-strip history. |

Thank you
Dear Tino,
My first time ever seeing a live performance of your troupe was a fantastic thrill for me.
Certainly we have been watching circus performers of all skills on television, but now we are of
the comfortable age. In my years as an outdoors man, I have spent more than a few cold days and some early mornings in New England, to my pleasure.
But I have never, ever spent any time with a more delightful and exciting group in any outing as that of last night 10/10/09. I shall long remember with delight the antics of J P the Clown, the interplay of the group and especially the outstanding skill of the family.
I am thoroughly familiar with the feeling of numbness in my hands at first light when the temperature dips and I am holding a cold fishing rod. The all day cross country skiing, and the numbness of frozen feet. How I long for the warmth of a fire when I am on a track in snow.
The amazing thing about you performers on the high wire or on the ground is that you go out and present the best possible skills under any circumstances, under the weather or in spite of it. KUDOs to you and to your family. We are blessed that the rigging held and we were able to see and keep film mementos of every move on the high wire, on the ground or the ropes.
Fantastic, awesome, outstanding do not even come close. I can not expect another such treat in the remainder of my lifetime in person, but who knows, perhaps we shall; I look forward to the possibility.
Sincerely,
Albert B. Hale
