Hospital Visit!

Just got back from visiting Bill Strong in the South Bay Hospital under peculiar circumstances.
John Herriott called this morning from the Beef O'Brady's about a mile from here and invited me to join him and Roy for lunch and a beer.
I was surprised to learn that they had just come from seeing Bill at South Bay, our local hospital.
So after lunch I continued on down to the hospital and spent about an hour with him rehashing old times. He was quite chipper and in fact was waiting to be taken home.
I don't mean to downplay the seriousness of his condition but I am glad to see him returning home.

God bless Bill Strong and his faithful wife, Trudy. I just got to come home from the hospital, and I hope Bill can go home, too. Going home is a great part of attaining peace and hope.

Last evening I got a phone call from Trudy and she had just brought Bill home from the hospital. She said he seemed to be reasonably comfortable. He imediatly asked her to get him some Wonton soup from the local Chinese restaurant. She also said that both of their sons are enroute home.

I had asked her about special van transport services to and from the Dr.'s office for Bill, and she said that arrangements have been made for both nurses and doctors to come to their home.

I'm sure we all have Bill & Trudy in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
