Nice Shot.
Kinda looks like the barrel from
Manuel's X-15 remounted on a
straight job but it's probably
Hugo's with fins attached
Anyone know for sure
This is a double repeating cannon built on a 1947 White. At the time, it was owned by Edmundo Zacchini. This cannon is now stored in a garage in Tampa Fl. and is owned by his son, Hugo Zacchini II. There are presently 5 Zacchini cannons still in existamce, none of which are operational.
I believe Hugo Jr is the son of
Hugo Sr and the nephew of "Poppa"
Edmundo who was the eldest of them
I helped Poppa with some rewiring
during one of the Jimmy Harrington
"Circo Panamericano" dates in PR
All of the Zacchini cannons used
a much different system of double
"propulsion" reaving than that is
currently used in newer cannons
Chic, Hugo II is the son of Edmundo Zacchini. He had is own single shot cannon out on the road for over 30 years. He was named after his uncle Hugo.
The Hugo (1st) Zacchini cannon is in the possesion of his son Butch (Hugo III) in Red Level, AL.
Thanks Jimmy
