I think the first time in the Dome was in June of 1965 and set some kind of attendance record for a single performace. Houston had been without RBBB since the canvas show as the Shrine locked them out. Always had extra acts booked for the dome dates to fill in the infield.
Was the circus often at the Astrodome? This picture is extremely interesting to me as I am a youngster and have only seen the circus in two different arenas in Houston. Do you have any other pictures?
RB&BB appeared several times in the Astrodome, then moved next door to the AstroHall (now demolished) for several years. In fact it played there one entire summer. After that, it appeared in the Sam Houston Coliseum (downtown)until the Summit opened (later known as the Compaq Center and now the Lakewood Church).
