This would be Mary,Ruth and Margie I recently was asked if it was true that Lee had once worked a cat act my answer was yes. It would have been around the same time of this photo, Clyde Bros.Tigers.
When I had the herd, in 1975 on Suesz, they were Mary, Sue, and Margie. Jim, do you know about the transition between Sue and Ruth?
I presume Lee worked the same tigers I inherited from Andre Skarbecki.
Four of these tigers Howard Suesz bought from us at Jungleland,in 1968. He sent a truck and driver out from Hugo to get them. Dick McGraw and I both had worked them. Suesz came out of Mexico with three he bought there. He called Parley Baer about who to get, and Parley recommended me. One midnight, Suesz called me to discuss a deal. I thought about it until the last minute, but still had the lion act and picture work at Jungleland, a new baby boy, and no trailer, so I turned it down. Trevor Bale did the fine tuning on the seven. Lou Regan also later worked them, in 1970, then Andre, then me, in 1975.
Lou worked this set of elephants and the tigers in '71 and '72 on one unit of Clyde Bros. while Rex had the elephants (3 show owned and his first Reed)and a camel act. Jose Barrada had the lions on the second unit. Mr. Barada's sons had small chimps and bears. They were a wonderful hard working family. On the few occasions that both units were conbined it made for quite a sight to see. BG-Dallas
Chic, Yes, it was. The original elephants were named after his wife Ruth, and his daughter Mary Sue. Mary Sue married Billy Jack, who had nothing what so ever to do with the movie of that same name. LOL Wade Burck
Yes It was Mary Sue and Margie. However I never could keep it in the right order on account of the new line up. Howard Seuz was the owner of two units of Clyde Bros also the Hagen Bros under canvas and Rex Bros,it was his indoor winter show. In regards to the tigers the list of one's who worked this act was long and of coarse "Vary Distinguished"
So did we come to the conclusion that the cat act Lee worked was the Clyde Bros. tiger act, or was it a temporary act that was used for a short time, until the Clyde Bros. tiger act was ready? Wade Burck

Hi Jimmy...
Wasn't Clyde Bros owned by
Howard Seuz (pronounced Seese)
J.C. Hall,
I believe that would be Mary in the lead, Sue second, and Margie on the end. Margie replaced Ruth.
