The film’s pay-off shows the lion also sporting a shiner. (I wonder who was chosen to do the lion’s makeup?)



CIRCUS TODAY is available on DVD in Volume 3 of SLAPSTICK ENCYCLOPEDIA, which should be available through Netflix or maybe even your local library. It features a music score of traditional old time circus numbers like “Oh, You Circus Day,” “Entry of the Gladiators,” “Pahjamah,” and “Marche Indienne,” among others.
